Thank God Its Friday

Hoo Ray!!!
Its Friday.
Weekend is coming.
I get to see my spiritual sons....
Serve God and worship Him...
And hopefully we have Sunday futsal =P

Engaging the Word of God this year

This year the "Dear usuals" friends in church and i will be engaging to read the whole Bible this year. It has been difficult battles for me to finish this as i have tried a few attempts on this.

I tried it once when I was 18 and another time when i was 21.
The furthest i went was Deutronomy.

This time i will give it another try and prayerfully this battle will be one with Victory.
Looking forward to read the Word of God from cover to cover.

It reveals many truth and often when i read it systematically,
I will go like "Oh wow... i didn't felt or look at it this way before"

It is full of truth and relevant even till today.

"Lord... guide us as we wear our armour and engage this battle again"

Attitude affects Altitude

Looking at the big picture rather than the small...

Yesterday i had breakfast with Alex,
Went for a full moon party for my colleague's baby (Chan Weng Lok) - sounds like my name =P,
Yum cha with Nick and also able to catch up with my Bleach at the same time,
Help Michelle a lil in cleaning the toilet,
Family dinner,
Prepare for ACTS (Aug 5),
Rest.

Alex was sharing a story that captured my attention,
The Battle of Somme,

Its a really fascinating story story about how lack of leadership can affect many lives,

There is a difference when a leader fights with the people
Or just stand from afar and just command.

The other thing i woke up this morning,
Remembering that attitude affects altitude,
Changed my attitude about going to work and now looking forward to work =)

Leaving Early today


Woo Hoo..... just heard from the management that we can leave at 4pm =P
Should i go for a haircut or go home early to zzzZZZ?
Hmm... Decisions Decisions.....
BUT i don't mind such decisions =)


2009 is coming

2009 is less than 24 hours time.
It has been a bitter sweet experience for 2008.
I have learned so much and seen so many lives changed.

The more i grow in life, the more i realise that life is temporal.
Like what i used to read in the Bible,
A vapor in the wind....

Don't go the way life takes you,
Take the life the way you go,
And remember you are born to live
And not living because you are born.


How you look at life's perspective is very important,
It affects how you live your life.


Choose Life, Choose to Love...

Change the Attitude, Change the Altitude!

p/s: The Bible is the best guide on our attitude AND altitude.

PMR Results are out

Congratulations to Nicholas, Hong Ping and Grace on your results.

Really proud of you all.

It must have been a tough few months for you all but you guys managed to pull it through.
I can still remember the intensity and stress you all went through.

Carrying the books as though they are part of you,
Opening the book at every free time,
BUT in those times you guys studied,
I could see you guys didn't give up on God at all. =)

Two thumbs up for all of you =)

For the results:
Nicholas - 4As
Hong Ping - managed to passed almost all
Grace - 6As

You all must be rejoicing right now =)

Always remember our success comes from God and as Pastor always says:
"God doesn't just give us A's by not studying but He will guide us and help us as we put in the effort"

When we give Him our best in everything including studies, He will do the rest =)
In everything give thanks to Him =)

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

May the blessings of God overflow in your lives Oliver, Shree and Shannon.

I'm so happy to see you coming out full time to serve God and answering His call.
I'm looking forward to serve alongside with you soon.

Continue to be a light that shine God's name as yesterday marks the day where the church prays for you as you come out full time to serve Him.
